Dr. Whitehouse is a very kind and supportive and understanding doctor. She made me feel at ease. With great patience explained and drew a diagram of her diagnosis. She listened to what I had to say, and was so friendly. I would certainly recommend Dr. Whitehouse to any new or old patients, without a second thought. I came out of the surgery feeling positive, which I have not felt for years. I understand that many practices are full to the brim with patients, and possibly under funded. I felt that Dr. Whitehouse gave me her all on the consultation I had with her.

Had a horrible situation when I was concerned about my pregnancy and midwife was not available. So I have got an appointment with Dr Whitehouse. She basically spent 2 minutes with me and sent me home without listening. I had no time to explain my worries. The only phrase was: see your midwife next time. When I asked at least to hear baby's heartbeat to be sure everything is fine with him. She said she can't do it because only midwifes have tools. Very disappointing.

Lovely, friendly doctor, very food at listening and understanding the situation. Always polite and always leave her room with reassurance!

Have built an understanding with Dr Whitehouse. She has listened to my input regarding my one ailment (BP). Previously certain doctors in this practice had prescribed medication which was patently not suitable for my circumstances. Others had suggested wildly bizarre treatments (viz Gaviscon for a cough). Dr Whitehouse has a pleasing manner which puts the patient at ease, and she does not talk one down. I sincerely hope that she is not just passing through, and remains at the practice for the forseeable future.

It seems to me that some of the older GPs do not - for whatever reason - manage to keep up with the obvious changes that, by definition, come about with this profession. Dr. Whitehouse (being a comparative 'youngster') may be in her first few 'flushes of enthusiasm' but she's unfailingly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nevertheless...unless she gets some of the pressure taken off herself and her colleagues, I can't help feeling they'll all suffer from burn-out. Only you all know the real reason why there's so many more people clogging up our surgeries and A&E departments...but my view is it's unsustainable for people like Emma and colleagues.
